Tropical Storm Odette formed in the Atlantic Ocean, close off the mid-Atlantic coast, after Hurricane Nicholas hit the Gulf Coast. “Tropical Storm Odette is predicted to have a brief and insignificant life this weekend off the East Coast of the United States,” Meteorologist said. Forecasters forecast Odette to lose wind force on Saturday night and become a tropical rainfall as it passes to the southeast of Atlantic Canada. Early next week, it could possibly be incorporated into a larger storm.

“Odette remains displaced from the violent storms linked with it,” Meteorologist says, adding that the low-level center is entirely exposed and that west-southwesterly winds have pushed the rain and thunder almost 100 miles east.

It will most likely stay far enough offshore to avoid bringing powerful winds and heavy rain to the United States, but it will have an impact on the seas.

Although the storm’s overall effects will be moderate, rough surf and rip currents around the mid-Atlantic and Northeast coasts may pose a potentially dangerous threat,” Meteorologist warned.

According to the National Hurricane Center, swells caused by Odette are affecting parts of the US mid-Atlantic coast and are predicted to extend northward to parts of the US Northeast and Atlantic Canada coasts this weekend.

These kinds of swells can be deadly, resulting in life-threatening surf and rip currents. Beachgoers are advised to exercise caution and pay attention to all local officials when it comes to water conditions. “coastal,” a meteorologist stated.
